In a recent study by HR.com, "The Future of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging 2023", only one-tenth of the 255 organizations they studied offered DEIB Learning & Development training for all their managers.

The transformation to a more diverse and inclusive workplace is a journey that requires education, development, and, ultimately, an implementation plan.

The Inclusive Leadership Immersion Course is an intentional interactive course for managers needing additional support to lead effectively as the workplace and workers' needs change. Some examples of scenarios managers grapple with include:

  • Managers may walk a tightrope in communicating with teams and find themselves afraid of saying or doing the wrong thing to inadvertently offend or hurt someone.

  • Managers may be unsure of how to address microaggressions amongst team members, hoping the employees can work the issues out themselves. 

  • Managers may have participated in some diversity, equity, and inclusion training but still feel unskilled in implementing it in real-life situations. 

  • Managers need more time to get stronger in these capabilities.

The Inclusive Leadership Immersion Course is just the training organizations need for their managers. The best part is that it is an experiential learning course for managers at all levels. Throughout the six virtual sessions, managers will participate in building cultural awareness, take advantage of assessments to highlight opportunity areas for growth, and peer-to-peer coaching and collaboration discussions to maximize learning,

  • How can managers create safe spaces in the workplace so their employees feel like they belong and can contribute without fear?

  • Learn how to become more culturally competent, empathetic, and self-aware to navigate the needs of a hybrid or remote workplace.

  • Be consciously inclusive on how to create more harmony in the workplace.

  • Increase intelligence in dealing with microaggressions so you can stop tiptoeing around to avoid saying the wrong thing that offends someone.

  • Practice regaining control when you make a mistake and exclude someone.

  • Explore tips for successfully recruiting and retaining diverse talent. 

  • Gain language for performance conversations that promote win/win outcomes.

  • Participants receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the course. Our program offers SHRM or HRCI credits for those needing continuing education credits.

  • Bonus: Participants will receive a template to build a 90-day roadmap to implement inclusive leadership lessons in the workplace. They will also have the opportunity to get feedback on their plans from the learning community.

About Course Instructor, Simone

Simone E. Morris is CEO of Simone Morris Enterprises LLC, a certified minority and women-owned business enterprise. She is an award-winning diversity and inclusion leader, consultant, and speaker committed to diversifying the workplace and training women and emerging leaders to take true leadership positions in all aspects of their lives. 

Simone's background is a testament to her expertise. With over two decades in Corporate America, spanning information technology, commercial strategy, and human resources, she has been recognized for her exceptional leadership skills. Her MBA from the University of Connecticut and her certifications as a coach and a Project Management Professional (PMP) further solidified her position as a trusted expert with key strengths in strategy, leadership, training, and project management.
