The Stevie® Awards for Women in Business recently dubbed her the 2020 Bronze Winner for Female Solo Entrepreneur of the Year.
Ms. Morris spent twenty-three years in Corporate America with retail, consumer products, financial, pharmaceutical, and information technology industries. Her work in the Diversity and Inclusion field began through leadership, an employee resource group, followed up with a role in Human Resources, and then as the Director of Diversity for the Southern Connecticut Society for Human Resources. Today, Ms. Morris is a consultant, trainer, coach and speaker committed to developing more inclusive leaders and creating authentic, inclusive cultures in organizations.
She holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut and is a certified Coach and Project Management Professional. Ms. Morris has received the Certificate of Mastery in "Cultivating Cultures of Inclusion & High Performance” and is a Qualified Administrator for the Intercultural Development Inventory. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Service for NYU | Wagner and a Facilitator for eCornell.

Laura Ploss is Operations Director for Simone Morris Enterprises LLC. She most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer for By Kids For Kids Co. (BKFK)/ EduNetwork Partners, an educational marketing agency, where she spent the last 17 years.
Her experience includes building educational programs distributed to schools sponsored by corporations and organizations that included Xerox, Sallie Mae, Hard Rock, Staples, NFL, MLB, Intel, Experian, and Warren Buffett to name a few.
Prior to BKFK, Laura managed onsite corporate travel operations — at GE, ABB and Xerox for Carlson Wagonlit Travel. In addition, she spent 4 years in PR, managing operations for eNewsRelease (eNR).
