Two awards will be given in this category, recognizing any group of individuals, formal or informal, who have collaboratively made significant, positive contributions to fostering inclusivity within their local or broader community. The Community Team Category includes, but is not limited to:

The Inclusive Bridge Builder Award: Celebrating a community team that has successfully connected diverse groups, fostering understanding, empathy, and collaboration where divisions once existed. Honoring an individual who has demonstrated exceptional, proactive leadership in cultivating an inclusive workplace environment where all employees, regardless of background or identity, feel genuinely valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their best work. This award recognizes those who navigate evolving organizational contexts effectively to ensure equitable opportunity and a sense of belonging.

This leader has made a significant, far-reaching impact in their field or industry, influencing others and driving change on a broader scale while skillfully navigating the complexities of the current landscape.

A message from the Founder of the ILIA Awards

In 2020, as a global pandemic and social unrest highlighted the critical need for inclusive leadership, a vision emerged: to recognize and celebrate those building a more inclusive world. This vision, cultivated in collaboration with my colleague Joe Santana, laid the initial groundwork for the Inclusive Leadership Impact Awards.
After a brief pause, the idea resurfaced with powerful conviction in 2023, leading to the launch of our inaugural Inclusive Leadership Impact Awards.
Today, these awards serve as proof of the extraordinary individuals who have profoundly impacted their workplaces, communities, and nonprofit organizations through their unwavering commitment to inclusive leadership and transformative change.
